Meet the Jolly Jangles

Hello, everyone, and a warm welcome to this delightful gathering of teddy bears. These lovable companions consist of twelve crochet creations lovingly crafted by Marilyn Cook, affectionately known as the Jolly Jangles. Marilyn breathed life into them through two rhyming children’s books, adorned with stunning illustrations featuring vivid and lifelike scenery, using her graphic design techniques, truly bringing these bears to life. Allow us the joy of introducing them to you.

Jolly Jangles Books

Discover the adventures that the Jolly Jangles get up to in our fresh series of children’s rhyming picture books, and explore how we can support you and your children along the way!

The first of our story books ‘Meet the Jolly Jangles’,  introduces our young readers to the Jolly Jangles, and can be found on Amazon

‘Rudy’s Lost His Red Nose!’ is the second in a series of books from the Jolly Jangles that help children to learn the power of reading, the magic of stories and the fun of visualisation. It has also been written using a dyslexia friendly font so that all young readers can enjoy this beautiful Christmas story.

Tuttle the Tortoise

Following the success of my first book ‘Meet the Jolly Jangles’ I decided to write a story about one of the Jolly Jangle’s friends, he is a tortoise called Tuttle and it is a birthday story.

Tuttle wants to do something special to celebrate his birthday and whilst he is walking through the meadow enjoying the smells and colours of all the beautiful flowers an idea comes to him.  He decides to have his shell painted in one of the beautiful colours, but which one?

The book targets children from 0 to 5 years and teaches them about the beauty of flowers, their colours and perfumes.  The rhymes throughout the story keep the children interested and the cute teddy bears, called the Jolly Jangles, put in an appearance on a few of the pages, see if your little ones can spot them!

The book has 27 pages of glorious colour, edge to edge, and there’s a double spread at the end with all of Tuttle’s forest friends at his party followed by a page containing a gallery of his guests so your toddlers can test their memory by learning all of their names.

This is a lovely read to share with your children. It will take them on a walk through the amazing colours of the meadow and will spark their imagination, something that may help them and you during difficult times.
